A Bit of Company Background
The uplifting concepts behind Lavidacoe Enterprises are entirely based on positive life observations, experiences. The complete body of work represented by the acronym L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM – the company name, slogan, logo, mascot, catalog, literature and resulting product – is completely, biographically based on the proprietor’s enlightening, life experiences to date. The business and related material came into being and were organized in 1994. The origins of the acronym L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM are partially explained in the following literature which can be accessed by clicking here and here.
Lavidacoe is an acronym formed from three words: the Spanish words La and Vida which translate into English as “The Life” and the word "company". We used the two whole Spanish words, abbreviated company and added an ‘e’ at the end to make it resemble and function as a regualr English noun; hence, the business name Lavidacoe was coined.
The company slogan “Positively Involved in the Human Race” has a double meaning. This business, like most others, is absolutely involved in the mundane rat race of existence which we humans have allotted ourselves, and at times, does get hectic -- daily challenges. We all have them. Then again, in a very positive manner, we are involved in our humanity, the human race. We are a company that cares about our world and its inhabitants, human and otherwise.
The wavy graphic which appears on either side of the company name is a symbol depicting water. Why water? Water is a basic, tangible, element which all living matter on earth requires to survive. Human or otherwise, if you or it is alive, water is necessary for that life. And, as our company name and slogan demonstrate, we are a company that stands confidently, positively, reverently and respectfully behind life.
The company mascot/logo, Eyepatch Smiley, is a simple, line caricature depicting the proprietor from a specific time in his younger life when he vainly wore an eye patch over his noticeably, damaged left eye. The mascot humbly represents a person who gratefully has learned many a good lesson from L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM, and despite any and all challenges is still positively treking through the journey. Never give up! Also, the business is definitely an extension of him, so he saw fit to include himself, or likeness thereof, in a part of the presentation to the public.
The company trademark, L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM, was conceived by the proprietor after having had a couple of enlightening, spiritual experiences. In his opinion, according to those occurrences, it was perfectly clear that LIFE stood for “learning it from experience”. It came to him during one of the many, painful, virtually immobile days of recovery after a near fatal car accident. The phrase indicates ongoing because no one ever is finished learning during a lifetime. We learn until the day we die.
Our sports/casual line is one manner in which the we chose to promote and demonstrate to all that L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM is for anyone and everyone. Clothing is one of the three basic necessities we learn about in our early, formative years – food, clothing and shelter. Males and females from any walk of life can wear any of our clothes. There is not a person in our world who does not have a L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM and something to contribute to their part of our world so everyone can benefit. We encourage the best in and of everyone.
The building is the University of Athens in Greece. Dedicated to the genius minds of Hippocrates, Aristotle, Plato, Socrates and other forefathers of science, medicine, law, commerce, art and civility as we practice round the world, today. They were inspiration for discovery during the renaissance. We thought it fitting to pay homage to their influence on our daily, mundane affairs, even on the internet. The imposing, definitive style of Greek architecture also is prevalent throughout all levels of our nation's government sites, both interior as well as exterior designs. We comprise OUR world. We wanted to encourage ALL people by demonstrating that L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM applies to everyone and it can be used for his/her benefit or not. The company addresses and promotes the upside of each individual’s L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM and what it can teach us and leave behind for posterity. The website is a cheerleader for our fellow human beings to strive for the best in their role in L.I.F.E. (Learning It From Experience)TM becaue we all leave one behind, and your L.I.F.E.
